The Iterative Collective (TIC), an independent games publisher based in Singapore, has raised US$1.2 million in a seed round led by Cocoon Capital and other investors.
Founded in 2019, TIC caters to indie developers by providing a structured approach to incubating and releasing self-published games through its team and network of industry mentors.
Despite the expected growth of the global PC and console gaming markets to US$104 billion by 2026, over 50% of indie PC games generate less than US$4,000 in lifetime revenue. TIC said it aims to address this issue by offerng resources and support to talented developers.
TIC’s debut game, The Signal State, has become a cult classic with thousands of paying players. The startup will showcase its current and upcoming games at PAX East 2023 in the US.
The seed funding will be used to expand TIC’s publishing and marketing capabilities to help game developers create successful titles.
