In brief: IDN Media looks at acquisitions for growth push

• Indonesian multiplatform media startup IDN Media says it’s looking to ink more than one acquisition deal in 2019 for inorganic growth, following the close of a series C funding round for an undisclosed sum earlier this year.
• Founder and CEO Winston Utomo hinted that the company is likely to buy out businesses in the media industry, but he remained mum on the target companies’ profiles.
• “Right now, podcasts are booming, esports is booming, so those are media and still within our expertise,” Utomo added.
