Rise Above and Win The Ultimate Start-Up Space
While the brand name of Martell may not necessarily spring to mind when you speak of entrepreneurs, the luxury cognac brand has been acknowledging “Rising Personalities” since 2007 – up-and-coming personalities who have achieved in their respective industries and are poised for much more. One past winner of 2008 was an entrepreneur who started his own restaurant, and since winning the Rising Personalities award, went on to win the Rotary-ASME Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Innovation 2009.
The Ultimate Start-Up Space Challenge
In line with the Martell VSOP “Rise Above” campaign to acknowledge individuals who challenge the impossible and push the boundaries of success, they have launched a new initiative now aimed specifically at visionary entrepreneurs, challenging YOU to share with the world your business dream and seeing it to reality with support and funding – if you win.
The Ultimate Start-Up Space has also partnered with Start-Up@Singapore, Singapore’s most established nationwide business plan competition, for their inaugural 24 Hour Biz Plan Challenge. The event will see close to 100 participants developing their business idea in one of three emerging industries, while adapting it to suit the 760 sq ft. of space offered by The Ultimate Start-Up Space.
The Ultimate Start-Up Space is a unique opportunity to jumpstart your entrepreneurial dream.
Why You Should Participate
For one, you will get publicity from having your submission broadcasted to the world via the Idea Gallery as all submissions will be aggregated there. So you can also check out your competitors if you do join the challenge!
And, the prizes for all 10 finalists and the ultimate winner are invaluable. Here’s a look at what you stand to win.
All 10 finalists will get training from top notch institutions:
1. Business entrepreneurship training from INSEAD
2. Special bundle of banking services and entrepreneurship coaching from Standard Chartered Bank, Singapore
Plus…
In addition to the two prizes above, the ultimate winner of this challenge will of course stand to win the “Ultimate Start-Up Space” in Clarke Quay rent-free for 6 months, funding of S$20,000 (renovation fund from Pernod-Ricard Singapore (Martell VSOP)), AND an Executive Education Programme from INSEAD.
The Space
While most startups camp out at their homes and spend much time and effort coordinating their team members, only a few manage to have some funding to rent small office spaces in parts of Singapore that may not be very convenient to get to. Virtual offices and working for home may work wonders for many, but for others, the benefits of having a space to call office may do a lot in terms of productivity and company culture.
