Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) has given up the ghost. One of Indonesia’s most prominent Dota 2 teams, RRQ announced on Facebook yesterday that it would be officially letting go of its current roster.
While the team admitted that one of the reasons it was disbanding was its poor performance in the International 4 (TI4) SEA qualifier, it also said that most of its players had themselves decided only to take their careers as far as TI4. This is a direct quote from their announcement:
”…some of them already have retiring in mind and want to take real life job, as you guys know eSports is not a career that everyone can make especially on SEA[sic].”
This isn’t the end of it at all, though. Another post was made over last weekend seeking new players for Rex Regum Qeon, and asking for interested applicants to send in their profiles and Dota 2 resumes. So if you’re in Indonesia and want to join the team, drop it a message via its fanpage.
Rex Regum Qeon releases Azam “NFR” Aljabar Nafari, Muhammad “bubu” Damar, Jeffrey “Gehenna” Martin Suhendra, Albert “Don|Xwan” Dick Ludong, and Farand “KoaLa” Kowara.
