In brief: South Korea’s Yanolja bags $180m from Booking Holdings, Singapore’s GIC
- Yanolja, a South Korean operator of budget hotels and online booking platform, secured US$180 million from US peer Booking Holdings and Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC, Reuters reported.
- The fundraise brings Yanolja’s valuation above US$1 billion, said CEO Kim Jong-yoon.
- The company also plans to conduct an initial public offering as early as next year, said the head exec in an earlier interview.
