In brief: Restaurant tech startup raises $7.2m from Kakaku, Resorts World, Walden
TabSquare, a Singapore-based provider of AI-powered in-restaurant solutions, today announced it has raised US$7.2 million in series B financing led by Japanese comparison shopping website operator Kakaku.com.
The round is supported by Coca-Cola Amatil, Resorts World, and existing investor Walden International.
The company uses AI to make personalized menu recommendations and improve customers’ ability to order, pay, and deliver feedback.
It has deployed 6,000 devices that serve more than 12 million diners and 6 million orders annually. Restaurants adopting TabSquare products are reporting a 10 percent increase in overall revenue and up to a 25 percent higher average bill value from orders placed using personalized menus.

Coca-Cola Amatil is one of Coca-Cola’s main bottlers. The beverage giant owns a 29.37 percent stake in the bottler. Resorts World is a global operator of casino and resorts.
