Report: Chinese EV maker gets green light for Hong Kong listing
“Chinese electric-vehicle maker Li Auto has received the green light from the Hong Kong stock exchange for a listing in the city, following in the steps of its rival XPeng, which completed such a share sale last month,” Bloomberg reported.
Details:
- The firm, which is already listed on the Nasdaq, may rake in US$1 billion to US$2 billion through its Hong Kong debut, two sources said.
- Li Auto’s updated listing documents were published on the website of the Hong Kong stock exchange, signaling its approval.
Dive deeper:
- Along with Nio and Xpeng, Li Auto is one of the three US-listed Chinese EV makers that were reported in January 2021 to be preparing for a Hong Kong listing as soon as this year.
- Combined, the three companies have raised US$14.7 billion in the US since 2018.
