Rental Car Finder App Lets You Search, Book (But Not Pimp) Your Ride

The Innovation Works-backed startup Ika Mobile has launched an app that allows people to search for and book rental cars in many large Chinese cities.

Rental Car Finder app provides real-time search for available cars, covering over 100 models supplied by some of China’s largest auto rental companies. The app wraps up all the information, adds maps, and makes it easy to compare cars and prices.

It differs from other services such as China’s Yongche – which is modeled on Zipcar from the US – in that you’re at the mercy of old-fashioned car rental companies, and won’t be able to hop into a service car parked in a nearby street. Nonetheless, it’s a good app that can cut out a lot of nonsense.

Rental Car Finder comes from the same folks who created the gorgeous looking Hotel Finder app, of which we did a video demo last year. So now Ika Mobile has expanded its high-end leisure and travel apps even further, along with complementary apps called Movie Finder and Taxi Finder.

The app is for iPhone only so far, but will likely hit Android as well in due course. Get the Rental Car Finder app from the iTunes Store.
