6 reasons why Tech in Asia Singapore next year will be 5,000 strong

Tech in Asia Singapore 2016 is making preparations to open its doors to over 5,000 attendees this year.
Off the back of a successful conference in Jakarta, we’re pulling out all the stops to break our own records, and expect to hit twice the number from last year. Here are some ways we’re making this happen.
1. Four expert stages
The multistage format newly unveiled at Jakarta was a resounding success with all stages being fully subscribed. We’re now bringing to Singapore this treasure trove of tips from experts within four key domains in tech: adtech, developer, product, and fintech.
2. One for the investors
The Main Stage and four expert stages make up five stages. But wait, there’s a sixth – an exclusive stage just for investors. On top of specially tailored content to help you craft better strategies in building your portfolio, here’s your chance to compare notes with other investors from across the region on where to place your money.
If you need a break from the bustling conference, there’s always the Investor Lounge for you to hold your private conversations or simply take a breather.
3. 85 speakers
With a six-stage set up, it only makes sense to fly in the very best speakers from around the region – and we’re bringing in 85 of them to impart their wisdom with us. The Main Stage will feature the pioneers, leaders, and visionaries of our time to share their incredible journeys of how they made it to where they are today. On the other hand, our four expert stages will host seasoned practitioners who will divulge some quick hacks and useful tips to help you get ahead of the competition.
Whether you’re a veteran seeking to stay updated with the latest technical changes, or a newcomer eager to soak in inspirational anecdotes; you’ll leave Suntec Convention Hall for the wiser.
4. 300 developers
We are always working to bring the tech ecosystem together in its entirety – this includes the ever-elusive backend coders. As such, we are giving out 300 passes to developers to join us at the Developer’s Stage and to enjoy the conference with the rest of the community.
Coder, hacker, or programmer – as long as you consider yourself a developer and have a portfolio on Github/Bitbucket, you can apply for your free pass here.
5. 60 investors at Startup-Investor Speed Dating
A signature at Tech in Asia conferences, Startup-Investor Speed Dating is arguably the most popular event with its snaking queues across both days – and it’s not hard to see why. Engineered to make meetings with investors as productive as possible, it’s the perfect place to pitch your startup whether you’re looking for funding, feedback, or simply to grow your network.
Next year, we’re inviting over 60 investors who are keen to meet with startups from all verticals across the region.
If you’ve been struggling to meet the right person to deliver your carefully polished elevator pitch, venture no further. In fact, why stop at one? Cast your net wide and meet several of them across the two days.
6. 300 exhibiting startups
Bootstrap Alley, a platform for up and coming startups to exhibit ingenious business ideas, has grown over the year in both quantity and quality. This year, we had 212 exhibiting startups. For 2016, we’re on the hunt for the best startups across the region to grow that number to 300.
Applications are open right now – if you fit the bill, we welcome you to apply for a booth at this ever-popular segment. We’re serious about giving startups the best value for money by pricing the booths at a special rate, but only until the end of this month.
What would a 5,000-strong crowd mean for you? More content. Even greater opportunities to kickstart conversations about funding for your startup. A higher chance to hire that developer or meet a slew of promising startups. Tech in Asia Singapore 2016 is undoubtedly going to be bigger than before.
The question is: are you going to be a part of this 5,000?
Tech in Asia Singapore 2016 is happening on April 12-13. Save 30 percent off all passes when you get your passes before November 29.
