Anziani joined Crypto.com in 2018, and has been credited with helping grow the company’s user base to over 70 million users, securing licenses in various countries, and expanding the firm’s product and NFT offerings. Prior to joining Crypto.com, he worked at McKinsey, PayPal, Goldman Sachs, and Global Fashion Group.
Singapore-based Crypto.com was founded in 2016 by Kris Marszalek, Bobby Bao, Gary Or, and Rafael Melo. The firm enables users to buy, sell, and earn cryptocurrency and NFTs via its platform. Last month, CEO Marszalek went on CNBC to reaffirm the company’s stable footing after the collapse of FTX.
In October, Crypto.com reportedly laid off 2,000 of its more than 4,500 employees. However, a spokesperson later told Tech in Asia that such report was inaccurate but did not reveal the number of affected staff at the time.
