The amount will be used in the next few quarters to scale up existing and new partnerships with over 40 Indian and international brands. Under the initiative, it will invest, scale, and grow these food brands.

Founded in 2011 by Jaydeep Barman and Kallol Banerjee, Rebel Foods is currently present in 10 markets – India, Indonesia, United Arab Emirates, the UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Bangladesh – where it operates over 4,000 cloud kitchens.

The startup’s operating system (OS) enables partner brands to scale up their presence across the Rebel network of over 70 cities, which it plans to grow to 100 cities globally.

Rebel’s OS has three core components: culinary innovation and technology, end-to-end kitchen management technology, and a national supply chain. Rebel Foods has scaled brands like Slay, Naturals Ice Cream, Mad Over Donuts, and Wendy’s across multiple locations using its OS.
