A lack of streamlined logistics and supply chain issues have been said to result in exorbitant costs and diminished profit margins for farmers.
In a bid to address these challenges, Indonesia-based agritech startup Eratani provides services such as farmer funding, supply chain management, crop distribution, and agricultural assistance.
It has raised an additional US$2 million in seed funding in a round led by SBI Ven Capital and joined by Genting Ventures, Orvel Ventures, and Ascend Angels.
This adds to the US$3.8 million it raised in December 2022 from TNB Aura, AgFunder, B.I.G. Ventures, and Trihill Capital.
