Press Release on Singapore May 3rd 2007 – BuyButtonz announced today that the inaugural BuyButtonz eCommerce Fair will be streamed live onto Singapore’s emerging meta-blog community Ping.sg. For the first time, a fair will be live-streamed through the Internet. This will allow Internet users from all around the world to participate in the fair by viewing it online and chatting live with other online users.
“Ping.sg is happy to be collaborating with BuyButtonz as an official online media for this event. During the event, Ping.sg would be broadcasting a live video stream of the event on our homepage. I believe that this would be a strong opportunity to promote Ping.sg as a community platform for local bloggers who have yet to hear of us.” Said Mr. U-Zyn Chua, the founder of Ping.sg
A web-cam will be set up overlooking the fair. Visitors to the Ping.sg website will be able to see what is going on at the fair and chat online with the stall holders and visitors to the fair. This integration between a live fair and the web is believed to be the first and connects the traditional fair format with the online world.
At scheduled intervals, the emcee for the BuyButtonz event will also be delivering reports live from the fair. Interviews with BuyButtonz CEO, Ping.sg and the various stall holders at the fair will be webcasted. This is believed to be the future of live-casting where live, branded events have traditionally been covered by local radio stations.
Confirmed stall holders at the BuyButtonz Fair include ladies intimate wear, homegrown designer-wear and T-Shirts vendor. Each vendor will be bringing a selection of uniquely designed products that is normally available only online. Other interesting online vendors include, Good Image Tea, Animation Production and Training, discount magazines outlet, adventure travel company and many more.

Ping.sg is the Official Online Media for the fair and is sponsoring the hosting of the video stream on its website. Ping.sg is a meta-blog community which helps to track blog postings that are popular amongst Singaporeans. Visitors to Ping.sg on May 6th 2007 will see a Flash based embedded video streaming box provided by popular technology startup UStream.tv. A live-chat Java component will also be be available for IRC style chatting.
Registered users of Ping.sg will stand to receive up to 5 free BuyButtonz on-top of the One free BuyButtonz that is given out to all Singaporeans.
