The unit provides end-to-end solutions such as social commerce setup services, customer service support, customer engagement, and platform management, among other things. It also offers performance marketing, supply chain management, and data analytics.
Luxasia has been in the ecommerce enablement space for the last four years. The firm already works with major global firms such as Lego, Dettol, Durex, and Ray-Ban.
A Luxasia spokesperson told Tech in Asia that Leap Commerce has grown its gross merchandise value by more than 40x with zero customer churn since its launch. The unit aims to hit a triple-digit GMV run rate by the end of 2022, they added.
The ecommerce enabler focuses on Southeast Asian markets, and also has north Asian markets such as Taiwan and Hong Kong on its radar. In the next six to 12 months, Leap Commerce plans to expand into at least three new markets, including India and Australia.
It also plans to diversify its portfolio by covering segments such as electronics, mother and baby, and fashion. Furthermore, it intends to expand the size of its current team of 75 employees. The new hires will be absorbed into its technology, analytics, digital marketing, operations, and brand management teams across the Asia-Pacific region.
“We ensure that brand ethos is well represented in the online world while pursuing exponential ecommerce and social commerce growth, as evidenced by our 100% brand retention to date,” Leap Commerce managing director Satyaki Banerjee said in a statement.
