Latest Soul Calibur: Lost Swords trailer shows you will fight against giant purple skeletons

With just a few days until the game’s launch in Japan, Namco Bandai has released a trailer for the PlayStation-3-exclusive Soul Calibur: Lost Swords. The video, as you can see below, sheds more light on gameplay features and provides more insight on what to expect once the game goes live tomorrow, February 6, in Japan.

Soul Calibur: Lost Swordshas a customization system that allows you to buy clothes for the game’s 16 playable characters. The video above also introduces the elemental and crafting system exclusive to Lost Swords

The elemental system allows players to enhance their character’s weapon system. Based on the video, fire beats wind, which then beats water. And then you have the light and dark elements that negate each other. The crafting system goes hand in hand with the elemental system and allows you to combine the loot you get from missions to create elemental-imbued equipment.

Soul Calibur: Lost Swords is an exclusive PlayStation 3 free-to-play title from Namco Bandai. However, the company hasn’t yet released any launch dates for the game outside of Japan. Here’s hoping the rest of us will get to play it someday, too.
