Philippines get its first offline Hearthstone tournament, but other countries aren’t left out either

Philippine Hearthstone players will get the chance to prove their mettle as local eSports bar Imperium will be hosting the first ever offline tournament for Blizzard’s strategic card game this coming February 8, 2014.

The 32-man tournament will have a single elimination bracket where players will have to use three different decks, each built around a different class. Matches are set for a best of three “All-Kill” format, where winners will continue using the deck he/she started with, while losers will be forced to switch decks for the next round.

The entrance fee is set at 200 PHP ($4.42) inclusive of a complimentary burger and soda, while registration will start at 11:00 A.M. and tournament proper at 12:00 P.M. Top players will get to take home cash prizes and PC peripherals.

The rest of Asia can participate in Epic Gaming Television’s upcoming SEA Online Hearthstone League. This 64-man tournament is set within the SEA/NA servers and is online-only. As of today, the total prize pool is at S$1000 (approximately $785.60). Registration closes January 31st at 12:00 A.M. GMT+8.
