The second half of Tencent’s League of Legends Pro League (LPL) Summer split starts tomorrow. The eight teams have all played against each other once, but now it’s time for another round to finally determine who will represent China in the Season 4 World Championships, and who will fall down to the League of Legends Secondary Pro League (LSPL).

Invictus Gaming vs. Young Glory
Time: July 18th at 4 P.M. China time (4 A.M. EDT).
The sister teams face off again, but this time, Young Glory (YG) is not fresh off the LSPL boat. In fact, YG has just come off a tie against OMG, winning one of the matches decisively thanks to Diangun and his Riven pick. The team has also been making great strides in terms of overall strategy, especially team composition and counter-picking, and we look forward to seeing more exciting picks and upsets.
But while YG continues to improve, Invictus Gaming continues to look shaky. Aside from a lone victory against YG back in week one, the rest of the season can be summed up with one word: “inconsistency”. PDD leaving the team left a huge gap, one which is now filled by Kid, but he needs better support and more consistent play from his teammates, especially Zz1tai.
My guess: Tie (1-1).
OMG vs. Edward Gaming
Time: July 18th at 7 P.M. China time (7 A.M. EDT).
These top two teams just faced off last week in the Intel Extreme Masters Shenzhen, where EDG came out on top with a resounding 2-0 victory.
