Singapore insurtech unicorn extends series A round to $210m

Singapore-based Bolttech has announced an extension of its series A funding round to US$210 million. The insurtech startup has also onboarded two new strategic investors in its extended round.

  • Bolttech’s valuation had gone past US$1 billion in July after it secured US$180 million in a series A funding round led by Activant Capital Group.
  • Founded in 2020 as part of the Pacific Century Group, Bolttech offers an insurance exchange platform to help connect insurers, customers, and distributors.
  • The company says it serves more than 7.7 million customers in 26 markets across North America, Asia, and Europe.
  • The onboarding of new investors will help strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia, Europe, and other existing markets, Boltech added.
