Parkee, an Indonesia-based car parking app, has invested an undisclosed sum into local AI firm Alfabeta.

Alfabeta CEO Taufiq Wibowo said the company’s tech, including automatic number plate recognition, vehicle detection, and object detection, will supplement Parkee’s solutions.
Both companies plan to focus on serving their own clients for now but will provide their respective technologies to other providers of car parking by the first quarter of next year.
Founded in April 2018, Alfabeta offers clients AI and IoT solutions. Its clients include public and private corporations like the Indonesian National Police, the Ministry of Industry, and Unilever as its clients.
Meanwhile, Parkee is a unit of Centrepark Citra Corpora, a prominent car parking provider in Indonesia. Parkee operates parking lots in commercial buildings and residential areas across 50 Indonesian cities.
