Starhub Partners with Taiwan’s KKbox to Launch its Own Spotify, Music Anywhere

Singapore telco Starhub has officially announced Music Anywhere, an online digital music streaming service and store, in collaboration with Taiwan’s Spotify-like company KKBox which has over 10 million songs from 500 international labels.

With the collaboration, Music Anywhere users will be able to enjoy KKBox content in Singapore. The service will be launched in April and it still an unknown if the service is run as native mobile app/desktop client or through a web browser. Music Anywhere will be available to everyone in Singapore, not just Starhub subscribers. All that is required to enjoy the service is a free registered Hub ID account with Starhub.

To ensure users purchase music content legally, Music Anywhere entices users with exclusive perks such as music concert tickets, meet-and-greet sessions and even interact with their favorite artists on the site’s new social networking platform.

The company has yet to reveal details about the cost and availability of Music Anywhere – all that will be announced next month when the service makes it official debut. If you’re in Singapore and are interested in Music Anywhere, you may register your interest here.
