EY incubator names 16 early-stage startups for latest cohort

Global professional services major Ernst & Young has chosen 16 early-stage startups for the latest cohort of its EY Foundry incubator, which aims to help startups with working prototypes to scale.

The six-month program will be conducted virtually beginning July. The participants – eight from Southeast Asia and another eight from Australia – will get US$150,000 in Microsoft Azure credits to boost their technology stack.

Apart from providing industry insights, Ernst & Young said in a statement that it will offer startups exposure to tech professionals and subject matter experts. Startups will also retain complete ownership and control of their businesses as EY Foundry does not get equity shares.

The participants were selected based on their capacity to develop disruptive solutions in four areas: services of tomorrow, new enterprise, sustainability, and people and wellness.

Services of tomorrow

• Bizzi is a Vietnam-based company that offers an AI-powered solution to automate invoice processing. The software uses cloud robotic process automation and machine learning techniques.
• Olivia App is a Filipino expense management startup for tracking invoices and expenses.
• Ever AI Technologies is a Malaysian firm that makes AI accessible to those without programming backgrounds.
• Finnli is an Australia-based company that simplifies compliance status and potential eligible R&D expenditure for prefunding.

New Enterprise

• Pajak is a provider of tax process automation SaaS from Indonesia.
• Stemly in a Singaporean SaaS solution firm for forecasting and optimizing supply chain and finance processes.

Sustainability

• 4Zero is an Australia-based sustainability metrics tech firm that helps companies track and manage important processes.
• EPC Blockchain is a Malaysian firm that records energy investments using blockchain technology to crowdfund energy projects allowing public mitigation of climate change.
• ESGnie is a Singaporean business intelligence platform that compiles scientific research to push out scientific analysis.
• Evalue8 Sustainability is an Australia-based firm that automates ESG compliance and tracking processes for companies.
• Givvable is a platform from Australia that offers sustainability profiles of certain suppliers.

People and wellness

• Betterteem is a Filipino startup that offers an AI-backed workplace solution designed to make well-being and team engagement more transparent.
• Flow of Work is an Australian firm that helps upskill employees to boost employee retention and engagement.
• Leanmote is an Australia-based company that allows companies to manage performance and employee wellness through its platform.
• Matae is an Australian startup that offers companies with collaboration tools that allow for swift, scalable, and replicable change.
• Team Talks is an employee experience startup from Australia that helps boost employee collaboration through team building and social skills development.
