Yes, Startup Asia is back! We’ve had loads of fun with you guys, our beloved attendees, in our previous Startup Asia events, and today we’re ecstatic to announce that the next upcoming Startup Asia Jakarta event will be held this November 21 and 22 at Plaza Bapindo!
So how different will it be from Startup Asia Jakarta 2012? The conference will still include both the Startup Arena pitching competition and a hackathon in addition to panel discussions, coffee chats, and more. BUT for Startup Arena, it gets a slight makeover; unlike in the past, both seed and growth stage startups will now be accepted and will compete separately. About 20 startups will eventually take to the stage to compete in both categories to win a chance of being crowned as our Startup Arena winners. The seed stage category winner will take home US$10,000. The growth-stage category will win a chance to negotiate an investment deal with one or more of the investors who make up our expert Startup Arena judging panel.
In the same Startup Asia Jakarta conference, we will be simultaneously running a 24-hour hackathon which will see 400 developers building products with APIs and SDKs from numerous partner companies. The list of APIs and SDKs will be announced soon. Food, coffee, and rest area will also be provided.

Aside from the networking opportunities, the conference also features numerous speakers, including startup founders and industry leaders from companies like Rakuten Ventures, Kakao (makers of KakaoTalk), MediaCorp, and GDP Ventures, offering fresh and honest insights on upcoming industry trends. We’ll be updating the list of speakers on our website from time to time, so stay tuned!
So, what are you waiting for? Save the date with us this November 21 and 22. Early bird discounts are now available for purchases before August 31. All you need to do is to use the promotion code HappyJkt25, and you will receive a 25 percent discount off ticket prices.
