Hello readers,
I started playing Fantasy Basketball again this season, and I have this (probably flawed) theory that the more games my players play each week vis-a-vis my opponent, the higher the likelihood I win that matchup. After all, more games mean more chances for points and rebounds and other counting stats, right?
(Efficiency matters too though… which explains how I lost my last matchup despite having six more games than my opponent.)
Anyway, volume matters (even when its true worth is debatable) – and that appears to be the name of the game for today’s premium story. We take a look at the most active investors in Singapore’s startups.
Today we look at,
- The investors making the most moves on Singapore startups
- A Thai logistics startup closes a US$10 million series B round
- Other newsy highlights such as the US$25 million funding for the company of two ex-Lazada executives and Garena’s encouraging performance over the last quarter

A lot of action doesn’t necessarily lead to a lot of results – efficiency matters too, especially in the tech and business world. But when you’re investing, spreading out your bets is a smart strategy, and these venture capital firms have been making lots of moves in Singapore over the last 24 months.
- Well, it’s a multiple of 500: With 25 deals completed in the last 24 months, 500 Startups lands at number six on the list.
-
Close, but not First: Entrepreneur First, which helps individuals form teams, develop ideas, and subsequently raise funding, has locked down 31 deals. That makes it fourth on our rankings.
-
Sowing and reaping: Coming in at second place is Seeds Capital, the investment arm of Enterprise Singapore. Its 42 deals over the past 24 months include its investments in ecommerce aggregator TreeDots and energy firm VFlowTech.
Can you guess how many deals the top-ranked VC closed?
