In brief: Chinese home-sharing startup gets $500m from Tiger Global, Ant Financial
- Chinese home-sharing startup Danke Apartment has secured US$500 million in a series C fundraise led by Tiger Global and Ant Financial to reach a valuation of US$2 billion.
- Primavera Capital Group and existing investors Hillhouse Capital, Joy Capital, and CMC Capital also poured money into the new round.
- Danke will use the proceeds to bolster investment in its AI-enabled house rental data system to lift the industrial efficiency.
- It also seeks to reduce costs and update its supply chain to enhance housing quality.
- Founded in January 2015, Danke focuses on operating high-end apartments that have been remodeled and furnished.
