No, The International 2014 Champion Newbee did not plagiarize its logo
Plagiarism in China is a huge problem. From academic papers to imitation (shanzhai) brands to video games, nothing is safe.

But that doesn’t mean the country copies everything. Case in point, when Dota 2 team and The International 2014 (TI4) champion, Newbee was the subject of a tweet from troll Twitter account, LoL Updates:
Being super serious folk (or maybe the team just didn’t know), the TI4 champion wrote from its official Twitter account and things should have just ended there.
Except it didn’t when Tammy Tang, female eSports celebrity, re-posted on her Facebook:
And that’s when the anti-Chinese comments started taking off. We took screen captures of a few below:
