Codemasters’ hot new racer, Grid Autosport will be coming to India on PC first. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions may come in later, subject to market response.
Speaking to Games in Asia, Reliance Home Video and Games, the distributor for Codemasters has said that while the PC version will be hitting day one, the order numbers for consoles aren’t up to Codemasters’ minimum order requirements. The company will be gauging the reception on PC before placing a console order quantity.
Given the fact that piracy is still rampant on PC and that order quantities on console have risen for other distributors, it’s odd to see Reliance take a step in the opposite direction.
Due to this, console owners in the country would have to wait until Reliance decides to get its act together, or simply order the game via PSN.
