Nium elevates COO to co-founder

Singapore-based fintech unicorn Nium has elevated its COO Pratik Gandhi to co-founder.

Gandhi joined Instarem as a chief business officer in 2016 to build its global business operations before the remittance portal rebranded as Nium in 2019. He has over 25 years of leadership experience, having worked at Fullerton India Credit, Standard Chartered Bank Singapore, and Citibank

Gandhi now joins the company’s co-founding team, which includes Nium’s CEO, Prajit Nanu, and chief business officer, Michael Bermingham.

Nium hit unicorn status after raising US$200 million in a series D round in July, becoming the first Southeast Asian business-to-business payments platform to reach the milestone.
