Nintendo reveals Hyrule Warriors, essentially Dynasty Warriors: Link’s Awakening

Satoru Iwata revealed Hyrule Warriors, a game combining the Legend of Zelda franchise with Tecmo Koei’s Dynasty Warriors.

The game is not a continuation of the revered Legend of Zelda series. Rather, it is a brand new game developed exclusively for the Wii U. In the trailer, a fully 3D Link could be seen jumping around and cutting baddies up with his Master Sword.

Hyrule Warriors is a working title and may change at some point in the future. The game is targeting a 2014 release.
