The 24-hour countdown begins – in less than a day, Tech in Asia Conference opening its doors to thousands of techies at the Jakarta Convention Center.
The flagship conference is the best time to gain insights from the movers and shakers who’ve successfully tackled industry challenges. Gear up for two full days of awe-inspiring keynotes, fireside chats, panel discussions, networking, and more.
We’ve covered much of our speakers previously but here are two more speakers from Google who will take the Main Stage and Gamma Stage.
John Fitzpatrick, Head of Startup Programs, Asia, Google Cloud

Finally, this is the moment you’ve been waiting for. After months of hard work iterating and re-iterating your product, pitching to investors and convincing them to invest in your idea, now your product is finally released! You’ve been at it for a little while, your early returns are good, and boom! Your business is accelerating rapidly.
However, while you’d assume that the fastest-growing companies end up being the most successful, this isn’t always the case. There are risks associated with high-growth startups and a lot could go wrong. Researchers at UC Berkeley and Stanford found that 74 percent of high-growth startups fail due to premature scaling.
So what are the dangers of rapid growth and how do we avoid this? Be sure to catch John’s session on “How to Avoid Blowing Up Your Startup Rocketship – Business and Technical Priorities”, happening this October 9, from 10.00am – 10.30am at the Main Stage.
John will share the mission-critical list that fast-growing startups should pay attention to, as well as key partners that your high-growth startup needs at this stage.
John leads Google Cloud’s Startup Ecosystem initiatives across Asia. Over the last 15 years, John has held leadership roles in two venture-backed startups in the new media space, as well as strategy consulting and BD roles at Oracle, Booz Allen, and Amazon Web Services, forging global strategic relationships.
Nicola Dalmazzo, ASEAN Sales Manager, Google Maps Platform

Contextual location data is essential to providing customers with a compelling marketing experience. In fact, knowing where your customers are, how to reach them, and understanding their needs in those moments can be the difference between campaign success and failure.
Learn from Nicola how enterprises can build better customer experiences. He will also share best practices on optimizing a company’s operations and improve strategic decision-making by connecting customer insights.
Nicola’s session “Power Your Applications with Location Intelligence by Google Maps Platform”, will take place on October 8, from 10.30am – 11.00am at the Gamma Stage.
Nicola is a seasoned Sales and Business Development professional with nearly 12 years of working experience. He leads now the Google Maps Channel Business for ASEAN. In 2018 he joined Google Cloud in Singapore with the objective of building a strong Geo partners ecosystem in ASEAN and helping clients to embrace Location Intelligence in their business.
