According to filings with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore, Miravia is run by Arise Operating E-commerce Private Limited, which shares an address with Lazada at Bras Basah Road in the city-state.
Miravia’s launch comes after Lazada received infusions of US$912.5 million and US$378 million in funding from its parent firm Alibaba this year. It was reported then that Lazada was eyeing an expansion into Europe – which would be its first major venture outside Asia.
On LinkedIn, Miravia said it has around 76 employees. They include Aidan An, chief product officer at Miravia and former executive vice president at Lazada. Other employees from Lazada as well as AliExpress are now employed by Miravia.
They are led by Yann Fontaine, CEO of Miravia and ex-chief commercial officer at Thailand’s Crea.

On his LinkedIn page, Fontaine said he has held this role since April 2022. Since then, he’s been working on developing Miravia’s strategy for the European market and building the platform’s app.
The CEO also said the company has established partnerships with brand such as L’Oréal, P&G, Unilever, Lacoste, and Xiaomi.
