The United States Department of Justice (DOJ) is set to present its closing arguments against Google on Monday.

The tech giant is accused of monopolizing the online advertising technology market, concluding a 15-day trial in Alexandria, Virginia.

If Judge Leonie Brinkema rules against Google, the DOJ seeks an order for the sale of Google Ad Manager, which comprises its publisher ad server and ad exchange.

Prosecutors argue that Google illegally dominated markets for publisher ad servers and advertiser ad networks, saying the company attempted to control ad exchanges. This, they claim, restricted competition and limited publisher choices.

Google counters that the DOJ misinterprets antitrust laws by expecting it to support competing services. The company notes the case focuses on past events from the early stages of its ad technologies.
