Google Cloud eyes new leader to meet China growth target

Google Cloud’s Greater China president Kathy Lee is reportedly stepping down.

Former Microsoft Greater China Vice President Bin Shen is said to be her potential successor.

Lee, who joined from AWS China, has faced challenges in growing Google’s client base.

New major clients beyond ByteDance Overseas and Shein were not secured under her leadership.

Bin Shen, the rumored successor, brings extensive tech industry experience.

His prior roles include positions at Honeywell, Verizon, and Motorola. He joined Microsoft in 2019 as Corporate VP of Global Partner Solutions, based in the US.
