United States President Donald Trump indicated on Jan.21 that he is open to billionaire Elon Musk acquiring the social media app TikTok.

This statement comes in the wake of a temporary ban on TikTok following a law that mandates its sale by its Chinese parent company, ByteDance, due to national security concerns.

Trump signed an executive order delaying the enforcement of the law by 75 days.

When questioned about Musk’s interest, Trump said, “I would be, if he wanted to buy it.”

He also suggested that the purchase should yield a financial benefit for the US.
