United States President Donald Trump has criticized the United Kingdom government’s demand for access to Apple user data.

He compared this request to data practices often associated with China.

Trump said he told UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, “You can’t do this,” regarding the UK’s data access request.

He labeled the demand as “incredible,” adding that it resembles actions seen in China.

A British government spokesperson declined to comment on the specifics of the request but highlighted the significance of the intelligence-sharing relationship with the US.
