Apple’s first custom modem chip debuts in iPhone 16e
Apple has announced its first in-house modem chip, a step intended to reduce reliance on Qualcomm’s modem technology.
This chip, part of the new C1 subsystem, will be included in the company’s US$599 iPhone 16e, launched on Feb. 20.
