Samsung considers US battery plant despite policy changes
Samsung SDI Co., a South Korean battery manufacturer, is exploring the possibility of building a new production facility in the United States.
Chief Executive Officer Joo Sun Choi revealed this during a media briefing in Seoul, noting the need for caution due to a decline in demand for electric vehicles (EVs) this year compared to last year.
Samsung SDI views this potential US plant as part of its long-term growth strategy despite facing near-term challenges, including reduced demand and changes in US policies.
