Samsung, Intel partner on AI-powered display tech

Samsung Display and Intel have signed an MoU to develop AI-driven display solutions.

The partnership, formalized on Feb. 21 at Samsung Display’s research office in Yongin, combines Samsung Display’s expertise in display technology with Intel’s AI accelerator chips.

Their goal is to create solutions for premium laptops and high-performance IT devices, with plans to showcase their advancements at global exhibitions.

As part of the collaboration, Samsung Display is showcasing its OLED technology at the “Humans with AI” exhibition at Seoul’s Kyobo Book Centre.

The event features media art on 77-inch quantum dot OLED TVs and an experience zone comparing Intel-powered Galaxy Book 5 Pro laptops with standard LCD devices.

This builds on previous joint efforts, including an AI media art exhibition by Intel Korea and Samsung Electronics in January 2024.
