MY’s Catcha Digital to acquire 60% stake in media platform
Catcha Digital Berhad has announced that its subsidiary, iMedia Asia Sdn Bhd, will acquire a 60% interest in Drive 2 Digital Sdn Bhd (D2D) for 16.2 million ringgit (US$3.4 million).
The transaction will be completed over 24 months, with payment contingent on D2D meeting specified profit targets.
Founded in 2018 by Dannis Tan Boon Fhong and Jackie Wong Yong Wee, D2D operates several automotive media platforms, including Automachi, Auto123, Careta, and Mekanika.
This acquisition represents Catcha Digital’s entry into the automotive digital media sector, focusing on Chinese and Malay language content.
