Meta to build its largest data center with renewable energy

Facebook’s parent company Meta plans to invest US$10 billion to build a data center in Louisiana, set to become its largest data center.

The facility will function as a hyperscale data center, handling substantial data processing needs, including AI workloads.

Construction is expected to conclude by 2030.

Meta announced that the facility’s electricity use will be matched with renewable energy.
