Meta unveils AI team for biz tools, led by ex-Salesforce VP
Meta Platforms is establishing a unit focused on developing AI tools for businesses within its applications, as reported by Axios.
The initiative targets the needs of Meta’s 200 million business users.
Clara Shih, formerly of Salesforce AI, will head the new business AI product group. Her role is to create and monetize AI tools tailored for businesses on Meta’s platform.
A notable tool is a business AI chatbot designed for customer interactions on WhatsApp and Messenger.
