Meta builds data center, invests $65b in AI growth
Meta has announced plans to advance its AI initiatives by the end of 2025.
The company aims to deploy its assistant, Meta AI, to over 1 billion users and establish its Llama 4 model as a leading tool in AI.
To support these efforts, Meta is building a data center with over 2 gigawatts (GW) capacity, with 1 GW expected to be operational within the year.
By the end of 2025, the company projects it will operate more than 1.3 million graphics processing units (GPUs).
To achieve these goals, Meta plans to allocate between US$60 billion and US$65 billion for capital expenditures in 2025.
The company is also expanding its AI workforce to enhance its product, research and development.
