IPhone 16 to be available in Indonesia from Apr. 11
Apple has announced that the iPhone 16 series will be available in Indonesia starting Apr. 11.
The series includes the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, and the entry-level iPhone 16e.
The launch follows the completion of regulatory processes, including the issuance of postel certification, which is required for mobile devices sold in Indonesia.
The iPhone 16 series has also obtained a 40% domestic component level (TKDN) certification from the Ministry of Industry, which exceeds the minimum requirement of 35%.
The Ministry of Communication and Digital confirmed that all necessary permits for the iPhone 16 series have been finalized.
Apple has used an alternative certification path that involves investing in training and development facilities to meet TKDN requirements. This allows the company to sell imported devices without establishing manufacturing facilities in Indonesia.
Apple has not yet disclosed pricing details for the iPhone 16 series in the Indonesian market.
