Apple launches $99m clean energy fund in China

Apple announced the establishment of a clean energy fund in China worth 720 million yuan (US$99.3 million) during CEO Tim Cook’s visit to Beijing on Mar. 24.

This initiative aims to enhance the company’s clean energy capacity in the region.

The fund is part of Apple’s broader objective to transition its entire supply chain to 100% renewable energy by 2030.

The announcement is in line with the company’s ongoing efforts in environmental sustainability.
