Hyundai unveils wearable robot to boost worker strength
South Korea’s Hyundai Motor introduced a new wearable robotic device to help industrial workers and reduce musculoskeletal injuries.
The X-ble Shoulder was developed by Hyundai’s Robotics Lab with Kia’s support.
According to Hyundai, the device reduces shoulder strain by up to 60% and muscle activity burden by up to 30%.
The device weighs approximately 1.9 kilograms and is constructed from carbon composite and durable materials.
The company aims to expand its availability to other affiliates and external companies, targeting international market entry by 2026.
