Google tests AI-powered search with summarized results
Google has launched an experimental version of its search engine that replaces traditional lists of links with AI-generated summaries.
Known as “AI Mode,” this feature is available through a tab on the search results page for users subscribed to Google One AI Premium, which costs US$19.99 per month.
AI Mode provides detailed summaries and includes hyperlinks to sources.
Instead of traditional web links, it features a search bar for follow-up queries and operates on Google’s Gemini 2.0 model, which is capable of handling complex searches.
Currently, this feature is accessible in over 100 countries.
