Google Colab launches AI agent tool for data insights

Google Colab, Google’s cloud-based notebook tool for coding, data science, and AI, has launched a new feature called the Data Science Agent.

This tool allows users to clean data, visualize trends, and extract insights directly within the Colab platform.

Previously a standalone project, the Data Science Agent it is now integrated into Colab and available for free, supporting CSV, JSON, and .txt files up to 1GB.

Free-tier users may face computing limits unless they upgrade to paid plans starting at US$9.99.

Powered by Google’s Gemini 2.0 AI, the agent helps with anomaly detection, customer data analysis, and SQL code generation.
