GM, Nvidia partner to advance AI in autonomous vehicles

General Motors (GM) is partnering with Nvidia to integrate AI chips and software into its autonomous vehicle technology and manufacturing.

The collaboration will use Nvidia’s platforms to train AI models for manufacturing and enhance GM’s advanced driver-assistance systems.

A General Motors spokesperson indicated that this arrangement includes the procurement of Nvidia’s chips, but financial details were not disclosed.

GM previously used Nvidia chips in its cruise robotaxi fleet before shifting focus to personal autonomous vehicles.
