Foxconn seeks Nissan partnership in EVs

Foxconn, the largest contract electronics manufacturer in the world, has outlined its intentions in discussions with Nissan Motor Co.

Chairman Young Liu said that Foxconn seeks a cooperative relationship with the Japanese automaker rather than pursuing an acquisition.

Liu emphasized, “Purchasing its shares is not our aim; our aim is cooperation.”

He further noted that Foxconn could consider acquiring a stake in Nissan if it would aid collaboration.
