Foxconn reports strong January sales, expects Q1 growth
Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., also known as Foxconn, reported January sales of NT$538.67 billion (US$16.40 billion) for January
This amount represents the second-highest January sales in the company’s history, primarily due to increased demand for AI servers.
This reflects a 3.16% year-on-year increase but a 17.74% decline from December 2024.
The boost came from strong AI server demand in the cloud and networking division, while the electronics component division also saw growth.
However, the computing division remained stable, and smart consumer electronics sales declined due to fewer working days during Lunar New Year.
Looking ahead, Foxconn projected stronger sales for the first quarter of 2025 compared to the final quarter of 2024, during which consolidated sales reached NT$2.13 trillion (US$64.89 billion).
The company anticipates first-quarter results will exceed both the five-year average and the figures from the same quarter in 2023.
