Dixon Technologies India, a major assembler for Google’s Pixel smartphones, expects its revenue to more than double this fiscal year, driven by the rapid expansion of electronics manufacturing in India.

The Noida-based contract manufacturer reported a revenue of 177.13 billion rupees (US$2.04 billion) for the fiscal year ending March 2024, a 45% increase from the previous year.

For the nine months ending Dec. 31, 2024, revenue reached 285.77 billion rupees.

India’s electronics sector is growing fast as global companies shift supply chains away from China.

Dixon, which assembles smartphones for brands like Google, Xiaomi, and Oppo, has expanded into component manufacturing and benefits from government incentives.

However, potential challenges loom as US President Donald Trump plans to impose tariffs in April, which could impact India’s exports by US$7 billion annually.
